I missed last Monday with the Jubilee weekend. What ya gonna do? Damn right nothing.
It’s been absolutely sweltering this weekend and I’ve had a few tunes on while driving the car. Put this one on yesterday afternoon and it took me back to my school days. Two things to take from this song, positivity, as in “You gotta make it happen” and Sunshiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine.
Cigarettes and Alcohol, Oasis.
Did it on time this week Clearly – VooDoo Child is Jimi’s most iconic track and I love it too, but besides the best intro ever, it sort of dies off pretty quickly for me. I prefer All Along the Watch Tower. It’s solid from start to end and thus Stephen’s song of the week this week.
I’m probably going to create a YouTube playlist for all of these. Reckon that’d be a great playlist. I’ll give it a few more week so we’ve got 10 in there. Anyway. Enough waffle, enjoy the greatest guitarist to have ever walked the earth.
Now I am not a fan of the original by Gotye, but I saw this bad-boy on the Joe Rogan podcast and I was suitably impressed. Amazing voices, musical talent, creativity, this is what we want to see televised Mr Cowell!! Not the karaoke none-sense you trot out.
I don’t think I can contain my excitement! The most anticipated Manchester Derby ever. The most watched domestic football game ever. I don’t want to do any work today. I want to go home and wait. Derby day. Grown man’s Christmas. I really can’t tell you how excited I am.
Mood for this one? It’s just an all-time classic. Sad fact of the day? I bought Country House in the big Britpop battle of 1995 (I think that’s when it was).
So this is the first of a hopefully long line of weekly blog posts that have my mood conveyed by song. How artsy
Next week it’ll be on a Monday though. Reckon it’s a good way to kick off a working week. With this song, I am starting strong. Made of Stone by Manchester’s finest – The Stone Roses.
